A post-mortem is an examination of some one, some thing or some event that is used to determine the consequences of its demise or success of a person or project. A pre-mortem is a pre-examination of the person, place, thing or event that is used as a preemptive tool to determine the pitfalls and the critical points and moments that will determine success or failure over the life of the person or project.
If I asked you today to determine the things that might make you make or miss your goals this year, you would know what they are likely to be. History does not repeat itself, but it sometimes rhymes.
We logically know where the bumps and potholes in the road are likely to be. Will we hit them head on, swerve at the last second, or slightly alter course to avoid these bumps? Our everyday choices are key.
