The last work Monday of the year? Time flies. Here are my favorite three books of the year:
Code Named Verity by Elizabeth Wein
I find myself reading more fiction when the days are shorter. I have a vivid memory of being in tears on an airplane trying to pretend that I was not crying. A story of two friends during a time of intense struggle and personal sacrifice.
Hamilton by Ron Chernow
When I finally took the time to read this masterpiece I found myself with conflicting emotions. Alexander Hamilton’s career is one that has a positive impact on us today but his legacy is soiled by a serious of bad decisions. Incredible story.
Radical Candor by Kim Scott
Do we care enough about a person to tell them what we really think? Can we do that with care? Kim Scott thinks we can do better. She’s right. I liked this book so much we used it for training within our management team.
