Books too long? Try these podcasts.

Twice a year I send my “best books” list. Yet, books are hard to commit to. How do you know you can trust that my interests will appeal to you?

So today for those of you who have a hard time committing to a book or occasionally roll your eyes at my recommendations, try my favorite podcasts. Instead of giving you the best podcast streams, I’ll give you three episodes that I think are outstanding. Low commitment, high payoff. And if you don’t like them, you’re not out much time.

Ross’ Favorite three Podcasts:

Free Brian Williams How good do you think your memory is? It’s worse than you think. Much worse. And you should forgive Brian Williams.

Ref, You Suck! When I went to Gonzaga I liked to boo referees. An easy way to express my feeling of injustice. Things are changing. Superstars are no longer getting the calls they used to. How are they acting? Not well. Also, I now regret my treatment of referees.

Cruel and Unusual We have the death penalty in the US. Not everywhere does. What constitutes cruel and unusual? WNYC takes us down a path of law and order and the Supreme Court. An exceptional journey that creates conversation for both sides of the debate.
